Plavix
Plavix (Plavix; generic name Clopidogrel ) from Bristol-Myers Squibb is prescribed to reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, and serious circulation problems in people with hardening of the arteries or unstable angina (dangerous chest pain), and in people who\'ve already suffered a heart attack or stroke.
Plavix is used for reducing the risk of stroke or heart attack in patients who have already had a heart attack or stroke, or have other circulatory problems due to narrowing and hardening of the arteries. Plavix also may be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.
Plavix is a platelet aggregation inhibitor. Clopidogrel works by slowing or stopping platelets from sticking to blood vessel walls or injured tissues.
Take Plavix only as directed by your doctor. Clopidogrel will not work properly if you take less of it than directed. Taking more Clopidogrel than directed may increase the chance of serious side effects without increasing the helpful effects.
